Selecting the Correct Size Muzzle

There are a few things you need to know about sizing a muzzle for your dog:

1. The muzzle CANNOT be LONGER than your dog's actual "nose length." If the muzzle is longer than your dog's nose length, the muzzle will be in the dog's line of vision.

2. The muzzle's circumference MUST be LARGER than your dog's "nose circumference." We recommend between 1-3 inches larger than your dog's measurement. If the muzzle is the exact same size as your dog's nose, the dog won't be able to pant. It's mouth won't even be able to open. It is VERY important that you give your dog enough room to pant while wearing the muzzle.

X Small (Size 1) : Border Terrier, Jack Russell Terrier, Miniature Dachshund, Papillons, Toy Poodle, Yorkshire Terrier, Cavalier King Charles (Small)

Large (Size 4) : Boxer, Dalmatian, Doberman, Pit Bull, Pointer

X Large (Size 5) : Bull Mastiff, German Shepherd, Labrador, Newfoundland,
Approximately 35.5cm/14" (circumference) x 9.5cm/3.75" (length)

XX Large (Size 6) : Alaskan Malamute, Bloodhound, Great Dane, Irish Wolf Hound, Rottweiler, St Bernard
Approximately 38cm/15" (circumference) x 10cm/4" (length)

NOTE: The breeds listed are only a guide and based on a typical size for that breed (there can be quite a lot of difference within a particular breed - especially between male and female dogs). We recommend using the dimensions and instructions when selecting the correct size for your dog.
