Ideal Pet Doors Modular Dog Patio Door

The Ideal Pet Doors Modular Dog Patio Door is a self-contained panel that fits easily into the track of your existing sliding glass door, providing you with an instant pet door. It does not interfere with the operation of your sliding door, and can be easily interchanged between the sliding door track and the screen door track.

The Ideal Pet Doors Modular Dog Patio Door locks securely in place by means of a self-adjusting spring-loaded top section. Due to the spring-loaded top section, it should not move.

The Ideal Pet Doors Modular Dog Patio Door can be used on Single or Double Patio Doors. It can be installed inline with your existing glass door or your security screen door. If you currently have a security screen on the outside of your glass door, we recommend installing next to the security screen door.

When inserting into Single Patio Doors, the Dog Patio Door will sit against the edge of the existing door frame (where the current locking mechanism is located). You will then close your existing operational patio door / sliding door up to the Dog Patio Door. Your existing patio door / sliding door will not lock into the Dog Patio Door as there is no universal lock. To stop this door from opening you can use the included pin lock or a piece of dowel.

When inserting into Double Patio Doors, the Dog Patio Door will sit in the middle of the frame against the edge of both of the existing doors. For this scenario you will either need two pin locks or two pieces of dowel.

The Dog Patio Door is designed to fit track heights between 1971-2041mm (77-5/8" - 80 3/8"). Extension pieces are available to give your door an additional 63mm in height. Extension pieces can be securely added to increase the height of the Dog Patio Door.

NOTE: If adding more than 3 extensions to your patio door, we strongly recommend that you screw the extension pieces together to help maintain the integrity, strength and security of the door.

The rise on the X Large is adjustable from 102mm – 203mm, so you can reduce the step height for dogs with shorter legs.
