The Purina Halti® Head Collar stops pulling. It's unique design works by gently steering the head and therefore controlling the dog's direction of movement, making training easy and putting you, the owner, back in control. The Purina Halti® has become the world's favourite head collar, as it combines maximum steering efficiency with unparalleled comfort.
The Purina Halti® Head Collar is manufactured from soft but extremely strong webbing that fits easily onto the dog's head. Unlike other head harnesses the soft neoprene nose band reduces irritation to the nose and tear ducts.
Attaching your lead to the Halti® connecting ring will quickly and easily teach the dog not to pull away. As your dog begins to pull the Halti® will gently close its mouth. Dogs do not like this action and will stop pulling. It's as easy as that.
The Halti® Head Collar is a kinder way to walk your dog. It works using the same principal as a halter when leading a horse. The Halti® Head Collar stops dogs pulling, calms boisterous behaviour, allows freedom to pant, yawn and drink, whilst offering maximum comfort.

Instructions
Hold your Halti by the noseband. Halti assumes the shape of your dog's head, with the two rings under his chin.
The collar section is adjustable using the slide. When the buckle is securely closed it should accurately fit your dogs neck. A two-finger slackness is the best guide.
Having fitted the Halti, see where the noseband naturally sits. It should be down the nose and away from the eyes. When you release presume on the chin strap, make sure your dog can fully open his mouth without restriction.
Safety First
Until your dog gets used to wearing the Halti, there is a small risk that he might pull the collar section over his head. Do ensure that the collar section is tight enough. No more than 2-3 fingers should fit under the collar.
A recommended precaution is to link the lead to the Halti and to a conventional collar, ideally using a safety strap. Alternatively, take a double-ended training lead and attach one clip to the Halti lead ring and the other to your dog's regular collar.
